Global Instability and Rising Treasury Yields, but Markets Open Higher

Wall Street opened the week with U.S. Treasury yields rising as the 10-Year Note rose two basis points to 4.56% and the 30-year Treasury bond rose one basis point to 5.08%.

The catalyst for the rising rates is the United States weeklong strikes on Iran and Iran’s counterstrikes in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Russia has continued to pound Kyiv, and there are reports that they are also considering attacks on Baltic nations.

However, stock futures were set to open higher Monday morning as last week’s data showed the U.S. economy still showing strength.

At least for now, the United States equity markets show limited signs of considering risk to the global economy based on the expansion of war.
